Patriotic Readers for
young people debuts

LOCAL AUTHOR and illustrator Suzy Goodman-Pollack has introduced patriotism to youngsters through a book and compact disc published by Dandy Productions of Carmel.

"Life on a Lucky Star" is Goodman-Pollack's storybook and song written for early readers. Young protagonists of the book are Yankee Doodle Dandy and Yankee Doodle Dolly. The book/CD combination is now being made available to schools and libraries nationwide, the author said.

The characters will also be featured on two 50-foot special-events balloons, to "offer young Americans a twosome they can really look up to," according to the publisher.
